This Chicana feminist grew up in the Rio Granda Valley (south Texas), and has long since been fed up with the government and the media’s treatment of Mexican immigrants.  (Few government/media figures ever flat out say which brown people they’re talking about when discussing “illegal” immigraton, but we all know that they mean Mexicans).
